Media Arts

Utilizing the most current technologies and state-of-the-art equipment, Concordia students participate in a wide variety of projects that will develop an understanding of digital media. Salt ’n Light is an ongoing Media Arts Department project that is a student scripted, directed and filmed television program for children that teaches Christian values through accessible storytelling. In the Advanced Video classes, students produce Video Voice, a news-style program that covers topics ranging from school issues to local and national news, and is then made available online and on cable television. Both are filmed at Concordia’s on-campus television studio and provide valuable insight into careers in television production and digital media, while establishing the foundation for Christian outreach to future generations.
